Has this past year reminded you of how precious life is? Are you re-evaluating your priorities and focusing more on creating the life you really want to live?
You’ve probably already visited Italy. Which is why you know there’s something special about the country. Something about the lifestyle - it’s art, history, food, and culture - that keeps calling you back.
But you’ve been ignoring it up until now.
Moving abroad seemed so complicated…
THIS MASTERCLASS WILL GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE PROCESS SO YOU CAN TURN YOUR DREAM OF LIVING IN ITALY INTO A REALITY
In our group coaching program, you'll receive:
- Weekly guides with crucial information covering everything from visas to healthcare to finding your dream Italian home
- Live Group Coaching Calls, where you can speak to expats and qualified professionals that are thriving in Italy
- Checklists to help you plan and organize your move
What You'll Get in the Move to Italy Masterclass

CORE PROGRAM MODULES
- Module 1: The Cost of Living. Including specific examples from various parts of Italy
- Module 2: Financing Your Dream. The Italian job market and other options available to expats
- Module 3: Living in Italy Legally. Visas and Citizenship
- Module 4: Renting in Italy (things you’ll want to know - like when an ad says “unfurnished”, it probably means it doesn’t even include a kitchen)
- Module 5: Buying a Home Italy with several guest experts
- Module 6: Italian Taxes. An introduction to the Italian tax system and special tax incentives specifically designed for expats
- Module 7: The Italian Healthcare System. The public and private options available to you
- Module 8: Italian Bureaucracy and How to Deal With It
Many people dream of living a part of their life or their retirement in Italy. Some envision owning a home in Tuscany’s rolling countryside, enjoying al fresco dinners with neighbors while sipping on Chianti. For others it’s waking up each morning in a quaint apartment with expansive views over the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean. Perhaps you envision welcoming family & friends to your elegant villa on one of Italy’s northern lakes.
The point of the matter is that any of these options can be your reality. Living a comfortable and relaxing life in Italy is absolutely possible.
Take me, Thea, as an example. I’m a Black American from a middle class family. I didn’t have wealthy parents funding my international travels. I certainly didn’t have a European passport. And still, I have been able to create an absolutely fabulous life on my own terms in Italy with leisurely strolls to the bakery for a fresh pastry in the morning, weekly visits to my favorite butcher and the produce market, evening aperitifs with my incredible network of friends, and several trips per year to jaw-droopingly beautiful locations around Italy and Europe.
THAT’S TO SAY - I DID IT, SO CAN YOU.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE MOVE TO ITALY MASTERCLASS
Jordan Samuel Paciti

"Thank you so much for the great class! I really enjoyed it and have learned so much about moving to Italy!"
"Move to Italy Masterclass with Doing Italy... has been so informative for my future plan to move to Italia!"
THE TIME TO PREPARE YOUR MOVE IS NOW
So why don’t more people pursue their Italian dreams then? There’s usually something holding them back. That something could be self-doubt and the fear of the unknown, or even critical friends and family members who think your dream of living in Italy is a crazy fantasy.
Are you dealing with self doubt or fear? Rest assured that this program is designed to address that. Because quite frankly, it’s packed with information that I couldn’t even imagine needing or wanting when I first arrived in 2002. It will help you know the ins and outs of moving to and living in Italy.
And if your family and friends think you’re crazy? You’ll be able to create a well thought out and programatic plan for your move using the information we provide. Chances are they’ll be the same friends and family calling to find out when they can come visit.
Italy has long held a special allure across the world, but recent global events mean people are rethinking the kind of life they want to live.
The political and economic situation in the United States and many places around the world means more and more people are seriously considering moving abroad (to be exact, at least 33% of the US population).
According to the Harris Poll, 57% of Americans want to move abroad when they get older.
And while you probably can’t visit Italy right this minute as a tourist. You can actually still MOVE TO ITALY RIGHT NOW! (Those tourism restrictions don’t apply.) And if your plan is to move further down the road, this program is designed to help you get prepared and organized - whether by explaining how to get your Italian passport or by helping you understand the home buying process.
Plus, did you know that there are visa quotas for coming to Italy? The Italian government sets specific quotas for certain types of visas. Those numbers are released at their convenience only once a year. When those quotas have been reached that’s it, BASTA, until the following year. In this course, we’ll help you get your ducks in a row, so you’re prepared to request your visa as soon as those numbers are released.
PLAN NOW, SO YOU CAN MOVE ON YOUR TERMS!
INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE
The mistake many people make is that they decide to move abroad without any help. Or they spend countless hours scrolling the internet and asking questions in numerous Facebook groups, hoping and praying that you get reliable information.
The last thing you want is to pack up your life, only to find out you got the wrong visa and you can’t actually stay in Italy. Or to be settling in only to be hit with a nasty bill by the taxman because you didn’t organize your finances properly.
On the other hand you could hire a pricey relocation service but it will likely cost you well over $15,000.
I thought there has to be a better option, which is why we created the Doing Italy Move to Italy Masterclass. You’ll have the tools you need to move to Italy so you can relax and enjoy your new life, empowered with all the information you need right at your finger tips.

WHY I’M THE PERFECT PERSON TO HELP
Ciao, I’m Thea!
The first time I came to Italy was in 2003 to study abroad in a little town called L’Aquila, about an hour from Rome. It was love at first sight, and I couldn’t stop myself from coming back.
Within a few years, I’d done just about everything one could ever dream of doing in Italy.
I spent 2 months studying Italian amongst Florence’s dreamy laneways. I received my master’s degree at Bocconi, a globally renowned Italian University in cosmopolitan Milan (and the program was taught in Italian!). I taught private English lessons throughout my studies, before going on to work for some of Italy’s most famous brands, like Gucci.
As was bound to happen, I also met and married the Italian love of my life, Diego. We now have a beautiful son, Lorenzo.
My experience living in different Italian cities and working in various roles across Italy has put me in the unique position of being able to guide fellow expats looking to live in Italy.
WHY I CREATED THIS PROGRAM
I created the Move to Italy program for two reasons.
As long as I have been living in Italy, I have been encouraging friends, family, and complete strangers to move. I LOVE ITALY! And I love sharing information about life in Italy. So, on an immediate level, the masterclass is designed to help future expats like you transition into their life in Italy - to help you avoid some of the mistakes me and my many friends have made over the years.
On a bigger macro level, it’s because I want to help make the world a better place.
At some point in time, the United States lost its way and much of the western world became a rat race. As a culture, people became so obsessed with bigger and faster and more, that many people forgot about the value of family & friends, of laughter & smiles. This isn’t to say that Italy is perfect! It’s not. But in Italy, healthcare is available for everyone. In Italy, people prioritize quality time with loved ones. In Italy, children are taught about how food is produced and how best to consume it. People in Italy still know that food that is produced better not only tastes better, but is also better for the planet.
For those of you who choose to follow your dreams and move abroad, you will be able to look at Italy with inquisitive eyes, to find the joy in slow living and everything it brings. Perhaps, like me, you’ll then look back on your own culture with a fresh perspective and then share that perspective with your friends and loved ones back home. And help show them that there is a better way.
